The Book
Plants in the Mayan Culture by Svetlana Aleksandroff was presented to me on our way to Coba. The first page I turned to was that of these beautiful textiles. Funny that. Its a wonderful book, the kind with glossy pages and big images.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July.

Unfortunately, I am not part of this Schumacher clan. Mosaics and vibrant hues seen in Marrakesh, Istanbul and Valencia are inspirations for the Byzantium collection. The entire collection is rich in color and elegant. Makes me want to place my order and start redecorating. Will definitely be included one of the prints in an upcoming photo shoot.
Graham & Brown's new Contour collection is playful and sophisticated. The entire collection is splashproof making it suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. This flamingo print in pink/indigo has caught my attention. It's a little retro with a modern flare. I would place this print up in a breakfast nook or a sun porch. Check out another favorite of mine, sparkle.
This week has been crazy busy. The different directions and shapes felt like a perfect to visually describe my week. Polka dot print on silk in 8 colorways from the 1930s-1940s. Thank you, the.design.center. Have a great weekend.
Seychelles Tortoise print by F. Schumacher & Co and part of the Kelly Wearstler Interior Design collection. I like this print when its blown up a bit. Still searching for a backdrop to include in an upcoming photo shoot...
